Here are your first steps.
What is Baptism?
Baptism is an outward declaration of an inward reality. When you accept Jesus as Savior, something changes inside you—and baptism is how you show that to the world.
The Bible commands all believers to be baptized by full immersion. It's your way of saying to the world, "I've died with Christ, and I've been raised with Him to walk in newness of life."
Scripture References
This is what the Bible says about baptism.
Mark 16:16
Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.
Acts 10:47 & 48
“Surely no one can stand in the way of their being baptized with water. They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have.” So he ordered that they be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked Peter to stay with them for a few days.
Romans 6:4
We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
