RESOLUTION FOR CONGREGATIONAL APPROVAL
Authorization of Long-Term Secured Debt
Focus Building Project
WHEREAS, Woodlake Church has previously approved and undertaken the “Focus” building project to expand ministry capacity and better serve families, youth, and children; and
WHEREAS, the Focus Project includes the construction of the Woodlake Bixby Youth Center / Multi-Purpose Building and the remodeling and expansion of the Children’s Ministry facilities; and
WHEREAS, the Church Board has determined that additional funding beyond current member pledges and designated church funds may be necessary to complete the project in a timely and responsible manner; and
WHEREAS, the Church Board believes that securing long-term financing is a prudent and appropriate means to supplement pledged and dedicated funds for completion of the Focus Project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the membership of Woodlake Church is hereby asked to consider and vote upon the following motion:
Shall Woodlake Church be authorized to incur up to an additional Three Million Dollars ($3,000,000) in long-term secured debt for the purpose of completing the “Focus” building project, including construction of a Woodlake Bixby Youth Center / Multi-Purpose Building and the remodeling and expansion of the Children’s Ministry facilities, as recommended by the Church Board?
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that:
Such indebtedness shall not exceed Three Million Dollars ($3,000,000) in principal amount.
The debt shall be secured and structured under terms deemed appropriate and prudent by the Church Board.
The specific lender, interest rate, repayment terms, and collateral arrangements shall be approved by the Church Board consistent with this authorization.
This authorization shall become effective upon approval by the required voting threshold as established in the Church Bylaws.
